When can I pick up my registration packet?
Early pickup has began! You can pick up their packets Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm at the Plano Campus or on the weekend after each service. Pickup location is the kids First Time Guest area (next to the indoor playground).
The weekend before VBS and the week of VBS, pickup will be in the student gym.
Why did I receive multiple name tags in my registration packet?
For your child‛s safety, they are required to wear a name tag each day of VBS. In addition, they need to wear their colored wristband each day. If a replacement is needed, please visit the Registration Table in the atrium.
Can I go into the Worship Center to watch VBS?
For the safety of all children attending VBS, adults and students who are not volunteering will not be allowed in the sanctuary. Volunteers are required to complete a background check and training prior to serving during VBS.
I would like my child to participate in the spirit days, what are the themes for each day?
- Monday – “mission monday” – bring in as many canned goods as possible!
- Tuesday – “tribe tuesday” – Have your child wear their group color from head to toe.
- Wednesday – “Wacky Wednesday” – Dress your child up in their craziest, silliest outfit.
- Thursday – “Tropical Thursday” – Dress your child in their favorite tropical gear (Hawaiian shirts, leis, sunglasses)
What if my child makes a decision for Christ during VBS? What is the next step?
If your child raises their hand during our altar call, we will let you know so you can continue the discussion at home. If you decide that your child is ready for baptism, we invite him/her to join us for our next baptism class. Find more information online at visitonecc.com/baptism
Will snacks be provided during VBS?
Yes, each day we will provide light snacks and water for each child attending VBS.
Can my child attend VBS if they have to miss a day or come late?
Certainly! While we pray that your child has the opportunity to experience every moment of VBS, we understand that life happens. If your child arrives late, please stop by the Information Desk in the atrium.
Will the kids be in the Worship Center the entire evening?
Each group of kids will transition to different stations around campus for snacks, small groups and game time (outside). They will always be with at least one adult, their group leader. Adults will accompany them on bathroom breaks as well.
Where do I pick my child up each evening?
Pick up time is at 8:30pm each evening. visit the “pick up locations” page to see your child’s grade specific pick up location. Parents MUST have a pick up tag. (If you lose your tag or forget it, please visit the Information Table in the atrium). Only an adult with a pick-up tag will be allowed to pick up children. We recommend taking a picture of your child‛s tag so that you have a digital copy.
What if my child has special medical needs?
We make every effort to accommodate medical needs during VBS. Our Medical Ministry team will be on-site each evening of VBS for medical emergencies and to administer medications as needed. Please complete the medical form and include detailed instructions.
Will my child receive a t-shirt?
Yes. Your child will receive the size indicated on the registration form. The tees are standard Gildan tees. If the incorrect size was ordered, shirt exchange will take place on Wednesday at the registration table starting at 6:30pm. Quantities ordered are limited and exchanges will take place until sizes run out.
Can I stay on campus after I drop my child off for VBS?
In order to ensure a safe environment for all children in attendance, we will only allow adults who are volunteering and church staff to remain on campus.
What if my child gets injured?
We make every effort to provide a safe environment for all children when they are on campus. Our medical ministry team will be on-site each night of VBS to respond to all injuries. An incident report will be completed and if the injury is more than a scratch or bruise, you will be called immediately. Please note, all incidents will be brought to your attention at pickup.
What if my child has food allergies or special dietary needs?
Please be sure to indicate any and all allergies on your child‛s medical form. We will provide a special tag for your child and indicate on their name tag that they have an allergy.
Can I send a special snack for my child?
Yes, you can send a special snack with your child. Please keep in mind that we will not have access to the refrigerator and children will only have about 5-10 minutes for snack time. We recommend that you send the snack in your child‛s backpack and clearly label their name, grade, and color group.
Can we register onsite on the first day of VBS?
We will have onsite registration available each day of camp. However, we really encourage you to register early to avoid standing in line on the first day of camp. Registration packets will be available during the weekend services prior to VBS in the children‛s area.
What if my son/daughter wants to bring a friend but we have already registered?
No worries! We love the fact that your child is inviting their friends to attend church with them. Please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to ensure their friend is in the same small group if space permits.
