This masterclass, Study of the Bible: 1 John, “Are you sure?” Have you ever asked that question? Of course, you have. We ask that question when we are seeking assurance. “Are you sure you turned the oven off?” “Are you sure you closed the garage door?” “Are you sure you are coming home for Thanksgiving?” We ask this question all the time but there is one “are you sure” question that has eternal consequences, “ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN?” Sadly, many people are NOT sure how to answer that question. Thankfully, God doesn’t leave us in the dark when it comes to our standing before Him. He wants His children to know that they belong to Him, which is one of the reasons He gave us the book of 1 John.
