Is OCC Membership required for wedding services?

No. OCC Membership is not required for wedding services. However, we strongly encourage couples to become part of the OCC family through Membership as they build their marriage and community here.

What should we have ready before submitting?
  • Preferred wedding date and backup date

Is a premarital certificate required?

Yes. Couples requesting an OCC venue or OCC pastor must complete an approved premarital program and provide a certificate of completion.

What premarital certificates are accepted?

Accepted certificates may include iPromise, TWOgether in Texas, or an approved premarital program through another church, pastor, or qualified provider.

Are there date or time restrictions?
  • Sunday weddings are not available.
  • Saturday wedding start times must fall between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
  • Weddings may not be available on certain holidays.
  • Church-wide events, service times, and other OCC activities may affect availability.
What does OCC coordinate?

How should we submit changes after our original request?

Submit all official updates through the designated wedding update form provided by the Wedding Events Team. This keeps one complete record of your wedding details. Email, text messages, phone calls, and verbal conversations should not be used as the official way to submit changes.

How do special ceremony requests work?

Include any special requests in your Wedding Request Form and discuss them with the officiating pastor. Some requests may require additional review. If communion is approved, it is reserved for the bride and groom.

How long is an OCC pastor available on the wedding day?

OCC pastors reserve up to 90 minutes for your wedding, beginning at the agreed pastor arrival time. This includes preparation with the couple, communion, the ceremony, and other pastor-supported activities. Changes to the agreed timing must be communicated at least one week before the wedding. If the wedding is delayed and the pastor is available to remain beyond the 90-minute window, an additional $100 fee will apply.

What costs should we expect?
  • Pastor honorarium: suggested minimum $250 onsite or $300 offsite
  • 0–15 guests: honorarium only
  • 20–50 guests: honorarium + $300 room rental
  • 50–100 guests: honorarium + $375 room rental
  • 100+ guests: honorarium + $400 room rental
  • Gym reception rental begins at $500
  • For offsite weddings located 30 miles or more from the Plano Campus, an additional $75 travel fee applies.
  • Additional fees may apply for musicians, sound tech, campus facilities, or special requests.
When are wedding payments due?

Facility payments are due no later than 14 days before the ceremony. Pastor honorariums are due no later than 3 days before the ceremony and are coordinated directly with the officiating pastor.

Does submitting the form confirm our wedding?

No. Your wedding is not confirmed when the form is submitted. Our team will first review your request and confirm availability, requirements, applicable costs, and approvals.
