Derrick is Director of Spiritual Growth & Formation at One Community Church, helping others find ways to grow more intimate with Christ. He is an Alabama native, who gave his life to Christ at an early age under the influence of his father, long-time Bible teacher, and mother, Sunday School teacher. Like his father, Derrick found a passion for teaching God’s Word in 1990 and has regularly taught many Bible classes, workshops, and conferences since. He married his beloved wife over Sylvia 30 years ago and they have two sons who are also passionate about Christ. Derrick and his wife both led the family-marriage ministry home-builder sessions for many years at their previous church, and currently, lead a family Life Group at One Community Church. Derrick studied at Tyndale Theological Seminary and J. Lee Foster School of Biblical Studies. Derrick’s passion is Bible teaching and sharing godly wisdom to equip believers [men and couples] in growing in the truth of God’s Word and applying it in every aspect of life.
