For the fearful…
Oh gracious Father, We come to you, asking for your help specifically in areas of lives where we are experiencing fear. Fear may be based on a level of uncertainty for situations and circumstances we are currently facing and we need you. We know that you are our strength, and we need to experience your strength in our place of weakness. So I ask today that you would grant us peace. Would you remind us that you would never leave us nor forsake us. Thank you for this ability to have our perspectives change. No longer gazing through fear, but
instead through faith in You, our good, good Father. We thank you and we believe that this prayer is heard and done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
1 Cor. 16:13-14
For the anxious…
Lord, grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot
change, the courage to change the things we can and the
wisdom to know the difference.
1 Peter 5:7
The Lord is my shepherd, I will not be in need. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet
waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness. For the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no
evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Certainly goodness and
faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life, And my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever.
For the grieving…
Dear Heavenly Father,
The Bible says that you are close to the broken hearted, draw close and would you rescue. Help us not to grieve like those who have not discovered your kindness and mercy, but help us to believe that tomorrow will be better. And that a day will come that we will feel a
surge of expectation for what you are doing and where you will guide us.
He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
For the doubtful…
Lord, I believe in you. I believe you are good. I believe that I am secure in you – that I am hidden in you and no real harm can come to me with you as my rock and my salvation. I believe that you see me and you love me – that I am treasured in your sight. Help my unbelief. Help that head knowledge become heart knowledge- so that my actions reflect those truths and not the lies the enemy throws at me.
