God’s Love

During my walk with Christ, I sought to develop a more personal relationship with God. When I came across Matthew 7:7-8, I was reminded of the importance of not only praying but also praying with openness about my desires and being honest with the Lord. The word says, “Seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened.” Oftentimes, I feel that we, as Christians, forget that the Lord will always encourage us to be in motion. The Lord encourages us to bring our desires to him, but also to live life courageously.

Matthew 7:7-8 reminds us to be intentional and intimate in our prayer time with the lord. “For everyone who asks receives.” I’m constantly reminded to say the “thing” my heart desires; I’m constantly reminded that the Lord is my Father, and I should be able to be clear and honest when in prayer. The smallest habit, like being honest and sincere when both living life and praying with the Lord, has been critical to developing a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God.

Prayer: I pray that after you read Matthew 7:7-8, you find it in your heart to be open and honest with the lord, and I pray that you walk in the image of God. I pray that the Lord opens the right doors for you and that you receive many blessings from the Lord as you seek a more intimate relationship with him. Amen.
