One of the most challenging questions in our American culture is how to decide when a boy becomes a man or a girl becomes a woman. The reason this is such an important question in our culture is that there are many little boys occupying adult male bodies who suffer from the Peter Pan Syndrome. Peter Pan was the boy who never wanted to grow up. As sad as it may be for a child to never grow up it is sadder still when a Christian fails to grow up. Immature Christians can and do cause tremendous damage in our churches. So, how do we make progress from our initial experience with Jesus to become fully functioning disciples of His? That’s what the book of James is all about. In these four sessions, we will discover that James covers a lot of issues that seem random at times, but they all address a common problem – spiritual immaturity.
