Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,
Ephesians 3:20 NASB
We have heard this scripture many times, and for most of us it is an extremely encouraging passage. This scripture gives God the highest Glory to navigate situations where we may feel stuck, and God shows up in the biggest way, more than we thought He would, and the solution is so amazing that we know that God did it for our greatest good.
We go through things as Christians that seem so major that it feels like we’re carrying every mountain in the world on our shoulders. When we keep the faith and remain steadfast in God’s promises in these situations, God guarantees to show up in ways that our petitions and requests cannot comprehend because He loves us in abundance. More than we can ask or think!
The reason it is according to the power that works in us is that we must accept His decision about the blessings and rejoice in Him for His favor.
What areas of our lives can we acknowledge in Ephesians 3:20 where God showed up in His way, and it was an exceeding and abundant blessing?
