True Success

When you submit all your plans to God’s will, He will go before you and prepare the way so you won’t grow weary of your work. He wants you to find peace and purpose in your work and to live for something that is bigger than yourself. He is the one who can make you successful, but He wants your work to bring glory to Him, not to you.

You will find greater fulfillment working for His glory than you could find trying to accomplish anything for yourself. Let God bless you so you can be a blessing to others. Be an example of excellence and help others to see the benefits of working for His glory. He loves to see you excel in every way.

When we strive for our own success and do not bring God into our plans, the enjoyment we get from our achievements is fleeting. Take a moment and reflect on where you’re investing your energy and efforts. If what you’re doing is from God, it will bear spiritual fruit. If there is no fruit, ask God to redirect your plans to follow His will. If what you’re doing is not bringing glory to God, it is not worth doing.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for purpose. Father God, thank you for our gifts. Father God, will you help us to look to you for true success? Father God, will you use us to show the world what heavenly success looks like on earth? Father God, will you help us to remain focused when this world tries to distract us with worldly success that is meaningless? Father God, will you take hold of our plans and give us direction? Father God, when it’s hard or feels impossible, will you be our source of strength and endurance? Father God, will you push out any doubts? Father God, will you remind us just how big you are? Father God, will you multiply our time and capacity? Father God, not our will but yours be done. Glory be to you! It is in Jesus’ mighty name that we pray, Amen.
